Avatar-Solivita golf tournament to benefit Heavenly Hoofs

Registrations are now being accepted for the sixth annual Avatar-Solivita Charity Golf Tournament to be played Friday, August 4th at the Stonegate Golf Club in Solivita, the award-winning active-adult community by Avatar Properties Inc. in Poinciana.

Donations of $400 per foursome include a continental breakfast and lunch with beverages, according to Avatar’s Jeff Pashley, tournament chairman. Hole sponsorships are $150 each.

Net proceeds from the 18-hole scramble with a shotgun start will go to Heavenly Hoofs, which uses equine therapy to enhance the physical, emotional and cognitive growth of persons with life-threatening illnesses or disabilities. Operating out of Kissimmee’s Heritage Park, Heavenly Hoofs currently exclusively serves children from Give Kids the World Village, a magical 51-acre resort near Walt Disney World where terminally ill children and their families stay while visiting Central Florida theme parks and attractions.
