Fairwinds Credit Union coming to The Pointe in Poinciana

Fairwinds Credit Union is planning to join a growing list of retailers and businesses coming to The Pointe in Poinciana.

KDA Real Estate, LLC of Atlanta is collaborating with Grandstaff Development Equities, Inc. of Winter Park to negotiate the purchase of the 1.51-acre Fairwinds site with Avatar Properties Inc.

The site is one of several out parcels on the periphery of The Pointe which is anchored by a Lowe’s home improvement retail store currently under construction at the northwest corner of Poinciana Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road.

The Mediterranean-style Fairwinds Credit Union with signature tower is expected to be approximately 5,400 sq. ft. with as many as five drive-thru lanes.

KDA Holdings, Inc., a 25-year-old design/build leader specializing in financial institutions and healthcare facilities, is expected to commence construction on the Fairwinds building shortly after the closing which is anticipated in spring 2008. An early 2009 opening is planned provided permitting and construction go as scheduled.

In addition to Lowe’s, Fairwinds will join other tenants at The Pointe including Colonial Bank and a number of national tenants currently negotiating the purchase of sites with Avatar. They include an auto parts retailer and a tire company.
