Solivita unveils renovated design center with Tuscan theme

Solivita, the award-winning active adult community in Poinciana, has completed a major makeover of its 2,500 sq. ft. design center to meet the emerging trends of the active adult market.

That kind of pro-active marketing is why the upscale community by Avatar Properties Inc. has generated over 3,200 home sales since it opened in 2001.

“The arrival experience is intended to make our customers feel comfortable and allow them to experience Solivita’s unique ambience, lifestyle and the latest trends in appliances, accessories and appointments for their homes,” said Rick Woodley, Solivita’s vice president and general manager.

“From the moment they arrive, we want our customers to feel like they’re right at home here,” said Woodley, emphasizing that the concept for the design center was the result of extensive customer feedback, input from Solivita’s in-house design team, and consultation with outside designers.

The design center’s Tuscan-inspired theme boasts a rustic, casual elegance amplified at the reception desk by a floor-to-ceiling stacked stone wall flanked by decorative coach lamps, and an ornate chandelier.

Customers are encouraged to get comfortable in the center’s living room which boasts leather furniture, a fireplace with stone and tile accents, built-in bookcases with window seats, and a coffee bar with hot coffee and fresh-baked cookies.

Nearby, a gourmet kitchen and main show room include an interactive cabinet, countertop and backsplash display, trendy appliances and appointments, a plumbing display, and a variety of porcelain and stainless steel sink options.

Customers can also select from a wide variety of carpeting, decorative window treatments, tiles, moldings, ceiling treatments, columns, and lighting accents.

“The design center is a home-like setting that allows our customers to experience our standard features, available options and upgrades, and a host of subtle features and design ideas that can be incorporated into their homes,” Woodley explained.

The center’s “Dream Street” area enables customers to meet privately to make their selections with Solivita’s design consultants, as well as other vendors including pool contractors and low voltage contractors.

Solivita currently offers four collections of detached single-family homes priced from the upper $100s to over $500,000, and attached single-family homes in The Courtyards at Montelena from the low $200s to $300s.
